Community Edition? More Like Community Abandonment - Thanks for NOTHING, Databricks!

To the Databricks Team (or whoever is pretending to care),

Let me get this straight. You offer a "Community Edition" to supposedly help people learn, right? Well, congratulations, you've created the most frustrating, useless signup process I've ever seen. It's a masterpiece of incompetence.

I'm trapped in your ridiculous login loop. It's like a hamster wheel of digital doom:

  1. Verify email.

  2. Click link.

  3. Enter email (again!).

  4. Get code.

  5. Enter code.

  6. and back to the start?

I've tried EVERYTHING a reasonable person would try:

  • Different browsers (Edge, Chrome, even incognito)

  • contacted your "support" email.

  • Used different email accounts (because maybe my email is the problem?)

Nothing. Works. Your. System. Is. Broken.

But the real kicker? The silence. The absolute, breathtaking lack of support. I followed @Walter_C's advice and emailed databricks-community@databricks.com. *crickets* The sound of no one caring.

Is this some kind of social experiment? Are you testing how long people will bang their heads against a wall before giving up? Because I've just reached my limit.

You're actively driving away potential users. You're making a mockery of the word "community." This isn't a Community Edition; it's a Community Rejection.

So, thanks, Databricks. Thanks for wasting my time. Thanks for the non-existent support. Thanks for making me question my sanity.

Maybe spend less time on fancy marketing and more time on, I don't know, making your product actually work? Just a thought.

Hello @sachin_kanchan!

I understand the frustration, and I appreciate you sharing your experience. The Community Edition is meant to provide a smooth experience, and this shouldnโ€™t be happening.

We usually ask users to drop an email to help@databricks.com for an immediate solution.

But I will take this feedback seriously and follow up with our internal teams to improve the experience. Thanks again for bringing this to our attention!

ok !? and ?

more than a week passed, and I have heard nothing. no solution. and somehow i'm not surprised.
