Hey, I'm Hasan Sayyed, currently pursuing SYBCA. I want to become a Data Engineer, but as a beginner, I’ve wasted some time learning other languages and technologies due to a lack of proper knowledge about this field. If someone could guide and teach me the right way, it would be really helpful and make my journey much smoother.

Hello @Hsn!

You can start by creating an account on Databricks Academy. To follow the complete path for becoming a Data Engineer, go with the Data Engineer Learning Plan, which includes all the courses you need to progress step by step.

For hands-on experience: • You can enroll in an Instructor-Led Training (ILT) that provides lab access for 7 days. • Or get a Databricks Academy Labs subscription for one-year access to multiple self-paced courses along with their lab materials.

You can also explore and practice on the Databricks Free Edition to apply what you learn.

Hi Hasan. Great to see your motivation! Here’s a good way to start your journey into data engineering:

  1. Master SQL, it’s the foundation of everything in data.
  2. Enroll in the Databricks Academy (free) and take the beginner courses like “Get Started with Databricks” and the Associate-level learning paths.
  3. Once you’re comfortable, move on to Spark, it’s key for large-scale data processing.
  4. Then aim for the Databricks Data Engineer Associate certification. It’s a great milestone that validates your skills and helps you understand real-world pipelines.

Keep learning step by step, consistency beats speed every time.

Thanks u so much for suggestions .Can we connect on social media so I can ask if I have any doubts?
