I've been exploring the Databricks ecosystem and recently started looking more closely at Databricks Apps and Lakebase.
What I find interesting is how Databricks is moving beyond data processing and analytics into application development.
Lakebase provides a Postgres-compatible database experience that can be used alongside Databricks applications, while Databricks Apps provides a way to bring those applications into the Databricks environment.
I'm also exploring how AI coding agents can support the development process, from understanding application architecture to troubleshooting deployment issues.
For me, the exciting part is seeing how data, AI, databases, and applications can come together in one ecosystem.
