I thought, this time I would receive 100% free voucher after attending this learning festival, I was eagerly waiting for this learning festival, but again it is only 50% discounted, it is very disappointing...

Can anyone please confirm when this 100% discounted learning festival will be held in future?

Hi,

I have a question regarding the eligibility criteria for the learning festival.

If I have already completed 2 out of the 4 modules in the Associate Data Engineering learning pathway before the event window, and I complete the remaining 2 modules during the promotion period (March 16 – April 3), will I still be eligible to receive the certification discount voucher?

If not, how should I proceed in this scenario? Is there a way to reset the progress or re-open previously completed modules and mark them as completed again during the event window so that the full pathway counts toward the promotion?

Hi,
As far as I know, you must complete all 4 modules within the promotion period (March 16 – April 3) to be eligible for the certification discount voucher.
If any module was completed before the event window, it will not count toward this promotion.

You don’t need to reset anything. On the left-hand side of the learning path, you will see which modules show the label “Completed” (In each session).
Only the modules without the “Completed” label need to be finished.
After completing each module, you will also receive a completion badge via email, which confirms your progress.

So in your case:
– The 2 modules you finished earlier will not count for this promotion.
– You will need to complete all 4 modules again within the promotion window to qualify for the discount voucher.

I’m a bit confused about one point. If modules that were already marked as “Completed” before the event window do not count, but the platform already shows them as completed and does not allow retaking them, how would it be possible to complete all four modules again during the promotion period?

It would be helpful if someone from the team could clarify whether previously completed modules affect eligibility or if there is a way to reset the progress so the completion is recorded within the promotion window.

I have completed 4 modules but haven't received any Completion badge to email. Any idea how long it takes to get that email ?
I, however, have downloaded the certificate from the site, but no email yet.

To clarify, so long as you've completed all modules within a learning pathway and at least one of the modules was completed during the event window, you'll be considered eligible for the incentives. So in this case, yes, assuming you completed the outstanding 2 modules during the event window, you would receive the voucher on April 09.

so this basically means if all for modules for the PROFESSIONAL DATA ENGINEERING, for instance, had previously been completed, you do not qualify for the free voucher.

I think what people are trying to get to is, if these are retaken within the event window, does that quality them for a free voucher?

What happens in cases where the courses for a particular learning pathway had previously been completed prior to this learning festival? Given the courses are all marked as completed, would the voucher still be made available?

You can start now but ensure to complete at least one module in that learning path during the event window and that should make you eligible for the discounted exam voucher.

@thedatanerd - Love this question. Clearly, you’ve got your priorities straight. 🙂

The honest answer is that you don’t automatically get physical swag for every Databricks certification. We’re a bit more in the "swag as an event perk" camp than the "every exam = hoodie at your door" camp.

The fun stuff (jackets, hoodies, "Databricks Certified" gear) usually shows up as part of special promotions or events, not as a guaranteed perk of every exam. For example, at Data + AI Summit, certified folks and people who get certified onsite have been treated to VIP-style perks and exclusive certified swag.

So the game plan is to get certified (or stay certified), watch for the Data + AI Summit and other Databricks events and also keep an eye on Community announcements for any swag-related campaigns.

Either way, the skills and the credentials are always yours... the swag is just a nice bonus when promos are running.
