Zerobus Ingest: From Lakehouse to Insights Now

Published on โ€Ž01-22-2026 10:40 AM by Community Manager | Updated on โ€Ž01-29-2026 11:41 AM

Join us for a very special BrickTalks session, where we introduce Zerobus Ingest, part of Lakeflow Connect, designed to streamline your event data ingestion into the lakehouse. We will be joined by Databricks Product Manager Victoria Butka, who will explain how easy it is to eliminate a multi-hop architecture, reduce complexity and enable faster access to data insights.

Why is this session so special? Meet the PM and join us to dive deep into the product. Ask your burning questions, and see a live end-to-end demo of Zerobus Ingest in action!

We will also provide the tools and resources so you test drive Zerobus Ingest yourself. Feel free to share how you are using Zerobus Ingest to simplify your ingestion architecture - creative use cases welcome!

Happy building!

Really want to understand, as we compare this with Kafka which is already matured, and please confirm if these limitations are correct for Zerobus : 1. Only managed Delta tables are supported as targets; table and column names must be ASCII letters/digits/underscores. 2. No schema evolution on the target table 3. Zerobus provides atโ€‘leastโ€‘once delivery; consumers must handle potential duplicates downstream (idempotent writes / dedup) 4. If we have multiple consumers will that support other than Databricks consumer.

Thanks for the great questions! Quick note on how weโ€™re handling Q&A for this session: weโ€™re not answering detailed product questions in the event-page comments ahead of time, since a lot of what youโ€™re asking will be covered in the live walkthrough and demo.

Please join the session and bring your questions to the live Q&A so we can address them in context. If you canโ€™t make it, weโ€™ll share the recording afterward. If your question isnโ€™t answered in the demo or the recording, weโ€™ll follow up in the comments post-event. Appreciate you being part of it and looking forward to seeing you there!

Things i am looking for -

  • Does this replace the need for file notification mode ?
  • How does the internals work .
  • Where do i go to see the logs zerobus generates .
  • How does it perform at scale .
  • How can i measure the latency and throughput with scale
Thank You

I am a fresher exploring data engineering and modern lakehouse architectures, and I am really excited about this session.
I have a few beginner questions
What key problems does Zerobus Ingest solve compared to traditional Kafka or ETL pipelines?
How should a beginner start learning about streaming ingestion and lakehouse systems?
Are there any beginner-friendly projects you would recommend to practice these concepts?

Iโ€™ve completed Learning Pathway 2: Professional Data Engineering. It was an intuitive and insightful course. Looking forward to the certification vouchers

This looks great. Zerobus Ingest going after multi-hop streaming architectures is exactly where a lot of teams are feeling pain today. Getting a chance to hear directly from the PM, ask real questions, and see an end-to-end demo makes this especially valuable. Looking forward to the session and to seeing how folks are putting this to work in the wild.
