Move out of ADF now

Hubert-Dudek

I think it is time to move out of ADF now. If databricks is your main platform, you can go to Databricks Lakeflow Jobs or to Fabric ADF. Obviously first choice makes more sense, especially if you orchestrate databricks and don't want to spend unnecessary money. #databricks

@Hubert-Dudek  Really insightful article!

Iโ€™ve worked quite a lot with ADF over the past few years, but with the recent advances in orchestration in Databricks Iโ€™m starting to feel the same way โ€” it might be time to move on from ADF. Your point about the tool starting to feel a bit abandoned (and the billing model potentially changing) really resonated.

One small thing I was wondering about: in the section where you mention SAP, it feels like that gap might be closing pretty quickly given how Databricks and SAP have been partnering more closely. Iโ€™m not even sure if itโ€™s still a gap, especially with things like this reference architecture:

Curious to hear your thoughts โ€” do you think this already covers the SAP scenarios you mentioned?
