Error in Genie Mobile

RLERobson
Visitor

Hello,

We are using Azure Databricks Premium and we are trying to access Databricks Genie through the mobile app.

When logging in, we receive the following error:

OAuth application with client_id: 'databricks-mobile' not available in Databricks account 'eced9XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX'.
error: invalid_request

This is not a Free Edition account. Could you please confirm whether the Databricks Mobile OAuth application / Genie mobile access is enabled for our account, and if not, enable or guide us through the required configuration?

Thank you.

Hi @RLERobson,

This looks less like a username/password issue and more like Genie Mobile access not yet being available for your Databricks account, based on the error showing the mobile OAuth client databricks-mobile is not available for the account.

According to Databricksโ€™ public guidance, Genie is available on the web and on native iOS/Android, but mobile access should be requested through the customer's Databricks account team: The next generation of Databricks Genie.

If youโ€™re using Azure Databricks Premium and seeing this error, the next best step is to ask your Databricks account team or Databricks support contact to confirm whether Genie Mobile has been enabled for your account and, if not, request access to it. Community members won't be able to check this for you.

Also... Premium alone does not appear to be the only requirement. Genie Mobile access is currently handled as a separate enablement/requested access path. So, best to raise a support ticket.

If this answer resolves your question, could you mark it as โ€œAccept as Solutionโ€? That helps other users quickly find the correct fix.

The error specifically says the mobile OAuth app databricks-mobile isnโ€™t available for that Databricks account, which usually means the account isnโ€™t provisioned for mobile access, rather than an issue with your login itself.

I think you need to enable it in your account. Either ad as a preview or alternatively Check this link: https://docs.databricks.com/aws/en/integrations/enable-disable-oauth

For support related to your specific account you will probably need support from your Databricks account - hard to help you with what is enabled or not from here
