GCP Databricks | Workspace Creation Error: Storage Credentials Limit Reached

karthiknuvepro

Hi Team,

We are encountering an issue while trying to create a Databricks Workspace in the GCP region us-central1. Below is the error message:

Error Message:
Workspace Status: Failed
Details: Workspace failed to launch.
Error: BAD REQUEST: Cannot create 1 Storage Credential(s) in Metastore (estimated count: 200, limit: 200).
Metastore: metastore_gcp_us_central1

Based on the error, it appears that the Storage Credentials Limit of 200 has been reached, preventing the creation of a new workspace in this region.

We need guidance on the following:

  1. How can we increase the Storage Credentials Limit to allow the creation of a new workspace in this region?
  2. Is there an alternative approach, such as creating a workspace and then deleting unnecessary storage credentials to free up space?

Looking forward to your assistance.

Best regards,
Karthik Kumar
