Hi @saurabh280188

If you're preparing for the Databricks Data Analyst certification, my suggestion is to avoid trying to study random materials from different places, because that usually makes preparation much more confusing.

The best path is to start with the official certification page and exam guide, since Databricks clearly outlines the topics expected in the exam: https://www.databricks.com/learn/certification/data-analyst-associate

For structured learning, Databricks Academy is the right place, as the official training content is aligned with the certification objectives: https://academy.databricks.com

Iโ€™d also strongly recommend getting hands-on practice instead of only reading documentation. The Databricks Free Edition is perfect for this and gives you a real environment to practice with: https://www.databricks.com/learn/free-edition

Spend some time actually creating SQL queries, building dashboards, testing alerts, exploring visualizations, and getting comfortable with the Databricks SQL experience. That practical familiarity helps a lot during the exam.

Stick to the official path, practice consistently, and your preparation will feel much more focused.

Good luck!

Preparing for the Databricks Certified Data Analyst Associate exam can feel overwhelming because it sits right at the intersection of SQL, data visualization, and lakehouse architecture.

Here is a structured path to help you focus your efforts:

1. Follow the "Official" Learning Path
The most direct way to prepare is through the Databricks Academy. Look for the "Data Analyst Learning Path."

It is specifically designed for this exam.

It covers the key tools: Databricks SQL (DBSQL), Data Explorer (Unity Catalog), and Dashboards.

2. Core Domains to Master
Don't try to learn everything about Databricks; focus on these specific areas:

Databricks SQL: Understand how to use the SQL Editor, manage Query History, and optimize performance using different warehouse types (Pro vs. Serverless).

Data Modeling: Know the basics of Delta Lake (ACID properties, MERGE, DESCRIBE HISTORY).

Data Visualization: Practice building Legacy Dashboards vs. the new Lakeview Dashboards. Understand how to create various chart types and set up Alerts.

Unity Catalog: This is huge now. Focus on how to manage permissions (GRANT/REVOKE), and the hierarchy of Catalog > Schema > Table.

3. Practical Resource Guide
Documentation: Read the "Databricks SQL" section of the official docs. Itโ€™s often more up-to-date than the courses.

Hands-on Labs: If you have access to a workspace, practice creating a SQL Warehouse, writing a query, and turning that query into a dashboard.

Exam Guide: Download the official Exam Content Outline. Use it as a checklistโ€”if you can't explain a bullet point on that PDF, thatโ€™s where you need to study.

4. Practice Exams
Before the real thing, use platforms like Udemy to get used to the question format. The exam often uses "scenario-based" questions rather than simple definitions.
