Hi,

Is there any environment where we can practice autoloader, creating delta pipelines in databricks?  I am aware of the community edition but it does not provide the above services to practice. Please let me know if there's any.

Hi @ushnish_98

Databricks Community Edition is a free version of the Databricks platform, but it has some limitations and doesn't include features like Autoloader and Delta Pipelines.

To practice using these features, here are some options:

  1. 14-Day Free Trial: You can sign up for a free 14-day trial of the full Databricks platform. This trial gives you access to all the features, including Autoloader and Delta Pipelines, so you can try them out and learn how they work.

  2. Databricks Labs: Databricks Labs is a place where you can experiment with features that are still in development. Some of these features include Delta Pipelines and Autoloader for Delta Live Tables. While they may not be fully ready for production, you can use them for testing and learning.

  3. Databricks Sandbox: The Databricks Sandbox is like a tutorial environment. It provides interactive lessons on using Databricks and Apache Sparkโ„ข, which includes topics like Delta Lake and Delta Pipelines. This is a great way to practice these features step by step.

In simple terms, if you want to get hands-on experience with Autoloader and Delta Pipelines in Databricks, you can either try the 14-day free trial to access all features, explore experimental features in Databricks Labs, or follow guided tutorials in the Databricks Sandbox. These options will help you learn and practice effectively.
