Data Bricks x Power BI Report Server

I connected two .pbix files to the local server. In the first, I used Import connectivity, and in the second, Direct Query connectivity. However, I encountered the following problems:

  1. Import connection: The data is viewed successfully, but it is not possible to schedule automatic updates. The error presented is the following:

  1. Direct Query Connection: I was unable to access the report data.

When reading the documentation, I did not find any mention of incompatibility between Report Server and Data Bricks. Has anyone experienced this or know how to resolve it?

Hello,
It sounds like you're facing two distinct issues with your .pbix files on the local server. Here are some suggestions to address each problem:

  1. Import Connectivity Issue: For scheduling automatic updates, try using ODBC as the connection method instead of Import. This method has been reported to work better with Power BI Report Server and Data Bricks.

  2. Direct Query Connectivity Issue: Ensure that the data source credentials are correctly configured and trusted by the system. You might also need to uncheck the "Use SSO via Kerberos for DirectQuery queries" option in the gateway settings.

I hope these solutions help! If you have any more questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask.

Best regards,
Peter Philip
