Change AWS storage setting and account

I am seeing a super weird behaviour in databricks. We initially configured the following:

1. Account X in Account Console -> AWS Account arn:aws:iam::X:role/databricks-s3

2. We setup databricks-s3 as S3 bucket in Account Console -> AWS Storage

3. We changed the Role in Account Console -> AWS Account to arn:aws:iam::Y:role/databricks-s3

4. Launched a new cluster which brought up the instance in Y account. So far so good

5. Now we accessed the Data in databricks deployment console and it's still able to access old tables and the data. This S3 bucket is still in the old account. How is it able to access S3 from X account when compute is in Y account?

6. We are also not able to edit AWS Storage. The AWS Storage textbox is just disabled.

This setup is very confusing and not sure how compute is able to access S3. And why can't we edit AWS storage? It would be helpful if anyone can throw any light
