Dashboard HTML Export: DisplayHTML Formatting Lost

NivRen

I am building an analytics dashboard that we plan to export into HTML to provide to clients. We are running into major issues specifically with DisplayHTML visualizations. We are using DisplayHTML for help text, sub-headings, and for a KPI banner at the top of the dashboard.

Once the dashboard is exported into HTML (using Databricks export feature), the vast majority of formatting is lost. Font size, alignment, and the HTML is squished into a container size that is smaller than that of the actual dashboard visualization container size. This issue only exists when it is exported as HTML - it does not exist when you are simply viewing a dashboard.

Does anyone have suggestions on how to fix this?

Hi @NivRen,

Custom CSS/JS: You could try using custom CSS or JavaScript to enforce the formatting on the exported HTML. This would involve identifying the elements that are losing their formatting and explicitly setting their styles in a CSS file or a <style> block in the HTML.

Alternative Export Methods: If the built-in Databricks export feature isn’t working as expected, you might want to explore alternative methods of exporting your dashboard. For example, using API jobs export.
