Hello @ShankarM
Actually, there is no official End of Life (EoL) date provided by Databricks. If you check the documentation I referenced in my previous message, EoL is the next phase after End of Support (EoS), but Databricks does not announce a specific date when a Runtime will be fully retired.
For example, if you look at this link:
Databricks Runtime 10.4 LTS - Maintenance Updates,
Youโll see that the last update was on November 29, 2023.
You can confirm that 10.4 LTS is already marked as End of Support (EoS). This means Databricks can retire it at any moment without prior notice, moving it directly to EoL.
In my opinion, Databricks Runtime 10.4 LTS (currently still available) is using:
If youโre planning a migration, Iโd recommend moving to Databricks Runtime 11.3 LTS, which is running:
Itโs not a huge jump between versions, and Databricks 11.3 LTS is supported until October 19, 2025, giving you plenty of time to plan and execute the migration safely.
Hope this helps, ๐
