Enable Classic (Non-Serverless) Clusters on Free Trial

SCPablo

Hi Databricks community,

Iโ€™m using a Free Trial cloud account. Currently and I need to create classic clusters for Spark exercises.

Is there a way to enable Standard/Classic Clusters in a trial workspace, or any workaround for Free Trial users?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Pablo

Hello @SCPablo ,

If you are referring to the 14 days free trial account (link: https://docs.databricks.com/aws/en/getting-started/free-trial) , you can create compute clusters and experiment with them. But if you are referring to the Databricks Free Edition (https://docs.databricks.com/aws/en/getting-started/free-edition-limitations) there is a limitation to use only serverless, and you cannot create compute clusters.

Hope that helps, let me know if you meant something else.

Best, Ilir
