Hello everyone,
I’m having some trouble using Databricks SQL Analytics v2.1 on my tablet PC, and I was wondering if anyone here has had similar experiences or could offer some advice.
The main issues I’m facing are:
Performance Slowdowns: When I run complex SQL queries or try to analyze larger datasets, the app often lags or even freezes. I’m unsure if this is due to my tablet’s hardware limitations or if there are specific settings I could adjust to make Databricks run more smoothly.
Compatibility Issues: Despite keeping my tablet’s operating system fully updated, I’m still seeing occasional glitches and compatibility warnings within Databricks SQL Analytics. I’m wondering if there are any known settings or additional configurations required for running it on tablets.
Network Instability: I’ve also noticed that my connection to Databricks sometimes drops in the middle of processing a task, which disrupts my workflow. Are there specific network settings that could help maintain a more stable connection?
Any advice or tips on optimizing Databricks SQL Analytics for tablet PCs would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance for any help you can share.

Hi @jonathanjone ,
1 - Performance Slowdowns could be because of the warehouse size and the query count, if there are many queries, the warehouse has a limit of 10 query in parallel, else you see the query being queued.
You could also check if the query is optimized or not (kindly see the query profile to get more insights) Also refer to https://community.databricks.com/t5/technical-blog/top-10-query-performance-tuning-tips-for-databric...
2 - Can you please share what warning are you getting on the screen -
The occasional glitches and compatibility warnings within Databricks SQL Analytics
3 - If the network is unstable, you may see issues.
This is the official doc https://docs.databricks.com/en/compute/sql-warehouse/warehouse-behavior.html and the queries are running on the cloud, so the hardware/network you are using should be able to connect you to the Databricks setup, but the jobs/workflows as it is are not going to be impacted by the tablet PC hardware really.
If you can shed some more light on the issue you are facing, can try to help further.
Thanks!
