GitHub Credentials Won’t Save on User Settings Page

When I attempt to save my username and token for Github I receive a “Failed to Save. Try again.” message. I’ve used Azure DevOps with another DB workspace and never had an issue saving my PAT.

I’ve tried using both my GitHub username and email with my token. Given the token way too many privileges and just the “repo” scope. Regenerated the token many times, refreshed the browser several times. The only thing I haven’t tried yet is a different computer or browser.

Repos and files in Repos 8.4+ are both enabled in the admin console. Repo URL allow lists are disabled.

Any ideas?

Failed to save. Please try again.

Thanks in advance for any help the community is able to provide!

You can try again by enabling the inspect mode so that you could see the http response code from the network tab. It might give a better understanding of what is happening. You can refer this article on the steps to gather HAR file and analyze it.

Quick update that I’ve now attempted to save my PAT for Github using two different computers and browser types (Safari and Chrome) and all have given the same “Failed to save. Please try again” message. Thankfully I can still clone from public repos, but any commits I attempt to make etc, of course fails.

Thanks for the reply @Prabakar Ammeappin! I’ll give this a try tomorrow morning. Thanks again.
