Is it possible for Store Procedure to be in Unity Catalog Dataricks

AgusBudianto

I got information that the latest release of Unity Catalog already supports Store Procedure, but I have searched from several sources that Unity catalog does not support Store Procedure, according to the following post: https://community.databricks.com/t5/get-started-discussions/stored-procedure-creation-in-unity-catal...

Does the latest release support Store Procedure?

Runtime 17 is not GA yet.  As things stand right now SP are not supported.  Keep an eye out for Data and AI Summit which kicks off next week. Big announcements :).

Databricks is exploring support for stored procedures but does not currently offer them as a standard feature.

Hope this helps, Lou.

I have found documentation on runtime 17.0 (Beta), it supports store procedure
https://docs.databricks.com/aws/en/release-notes/runtime/17.0

and I also found another article related to it on this post
https://databrickster.medium.com/stored-procedures-in-databricks-95136fb5e273

so this is not a standard feature? and is it possible if this store procedure can be called from azure data factory

where can I follow or get information about the announcement?

If you can't attend in person you can register for a free virtual pass, watch keynotes and some sessions live: Home โ€” Data + AI Summit 2025 | Databricks.

Most sessions will be posted on YouTube later this summer, too (at least they've done this in years past).

Hi @Rjdudley Thanks for your link information, and if I can't attend, where can I read about the results of the Data and AI Summit?

Yes, you can attend virtually and it is free. What I don't know is what is free. I believe the keynotes are free and some sessions.  You should definitely register and check it out.

Thank you @BigRoux, you have taken the time to share information with me, I will be waiting for important announcements at the Data + AI Summit event.
