Lakebridge questions

We have a few questions before we propose Lakebridge as the migration tooling for one of our customers, where the requirement is to migrate from Redshift to Databricks. We need help with your quick response so we can proceed with the next steps:
  1. Our understanding is that Lakebridge is free to use and available in Databricks labs and there are no assurance service charges or any other separate fees that we need to pay at any stage of implementation. Can you please confirm if that’s correct?
  2. Additionally, we noticed that Redshift was not mentioned as a supported source in the Lakebridge documentation/article. Can you please confirm whether Lakebridge can be used for Redshift-to-Databricks migrations? Source:  Overview | Lakebridge (databrickslabs.github.io)

Thanks for reaching out! We'll confirm the cost details and Redshift support for Lakebridge ASAP so you can move forward stay tuned.

Thanks for the quick response.
We’ll wait to hear back from you on both the cost-related details and Redshift support for Lakebridge.

As we are working with tight timelines and need to get back to the customer shortly, a confirmation on these points at the earliest would be greatly appreciated.

Please let us know if there’s any alternate contact or support channel we should reach out to in parallel.

Thanks again for your support!

Hi - Following up this. This is quite urgent, as we need to respond to the customer shortly. A quick confirmation on these points would really help us move forward with the customer discussion.

There is no cost associated to Lakebridge, it's free to use.

Currently for Redshift only the Analyzer is supported ; the converter should be available later this year (it's on the roadmap, no promise on date).

Thank you for the quick response. Are there any alternative tools or frameworks that support Redshift-to-Databricks migration and are production-ready or stable enough to conduct a POC?

Hi, I am exploring Lakebridge to support data migration but I don't see any documentation for the Profiler. Is this feature available?
