Hi all,

There is no official doc with a step-by-step process to enable Unity Catalog in azure databricks.

If anyone has created doc or has the process, please share it here.

Thanks, in advance.

You must be an Azure Databricks account admin to getting started using Unity Catalog.

The first Azure Databricks account admin must be an Azure Active Directory Global Administrator at the time that they first log in to the Azure Databricks account console. The initial account admin can elevate others as account admin to delete the privileges to other users as mentioned in the below document.

Hi everyone!

I have an Azure for Students subscription. Since I am unable to be an Azure Active Directory Global Administrator, I tried but it is restricted by the organization to add my user as a Global Administrator, I guess with an Azure for Students subscription is not possible to enable the Unity Catalog, so sad šŸ˜ž

I discovered this recently. So i will have to change my subscription somehow. If the info above is not correct, please let me know. Thanks
