Hello,

As part of Databricks Learning Festival (Virtual): 15 January - 31 January 2025, have started the self paced learning course "Data Engineering with Databricks". But the same course description says as below.

Course description

**Important Notice: This course will be retired on December - 31, 2024. It has been updated and is now offered as 4 modular courses:

1- Data Ingestion with Delta Lake

2- Deploy Workloads with Databricks Workflows

3- Build Data Pipelines with Delta Live Tables

4- Data Management and Governance with Unity Catalog

Databricks recommends that you complete the course by December 31 or enroll in the free self-paced versions of these modules available in the โ€˜DB002 [FREE Self-Paced] Databricks Academy catalog.

Kindly confirm which course we need to enroll and finish within the duration of 15 January - 31 January 2025, to be eligible for 50%-off Databricks certification voucher?

 Thanks

Did you already got an email for the Databricks Learning Festival (Virtual): 15 January - 31 January 2025? It seems it is currently on the process of being developed but just want to make sure.

Thanks for your response, so you are comming here https://customer-academy.databricks.com/learn/courses/911/data-engineering-with-databricks and when selecting the course that has agenda for January in between the 15 and 31 does it says it will be removed?

@Walter_C ,

No, In this link, https://customer-academy.databricks.com/learn/courses/911/data-engineering-with-databricks there is an enrolment link (customers & prospects) for course -Data Engineering with Databricks. When I click and enroll, I can see the mentioned description about course retiring on December 31 2024. So question here is can we continue with this course or need to enrol a different one.

Thanks,

Our team has informed the following: Yes, it will be retired from new individuals enrolling into it. If they have already enrolled in the previous link (without completing) their enrolment will be migrated across into the 4 new courses. Individuals who have not currently enrolled in the existing course will just need to enroll and complete each of the 4 modules from Jan 15 onwards

Request you to provide the direct link for enrolling those 4 new courses/modules. Also, does the completion of this four new courses/modules provide the 50% discount voucher as mentioned in the learning festival?

Thanks,

Hi @Walter_C ,

Does this mean that the Data Engineer Associate certification exam will also change to reflect the new course? And everyone need to take the new course to pass the certification exam anyway? I can't see any mention of certification exam changes at the moment though! - https://www.databricks.com/learn/certification/data-engineer-associate

If there are going to be changes to the exam, could you please share the new exam guide? Thanks.

Hello, I'm trying to find the new notebooks for the revised course. I still have the old ones but they don't appear to be matching with what is shown in the videos. Would love to hear where I can find ther
