When trying to create a folder in dbfs view, the folder doesn't get created. I am using the community edition to practice. Can somebody help ?

is it due to community edition or it is intended use ?

Could you share a bit more about what you’re trying to achieve?
Where exactly in DBFS do you want to create a new folder?

Here, I do a right click and it gives me an option to create folder, I put the name and press create. Then nothing happens

I understand. I also tried it, and I couldn’t create the folder either.

To create a new folder, you can specify the desired folder name in the "DBFS Target Directory" field when uploading a file to DBFS. For example, as shown in the image, specifying FileStore/test20250122 will create a new folder named test20250122 under the FileStore directory.

By the way, in a standard Databricks environment (not the Community Edition), you can simply click "Create Folder" to create a new folder.
