Is Databricks still relevant

My boss wants me to start developping with Databricks but is asking is it still a good tool?

Or is it like Hadoop, a tool that still has it's uses, but 192.168.l.lno longer leading the pack.

And if it isn't the best tool, what is? routerlogin
