Dear Community, reporting live from the electrifying Keynotes session at the Moscone center! The atmosphere here is absolutely buzzing as we delve into the groundbreaking world of artificial intelligence. The visionary Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft, and Ali Ghodsi, CEO of Databricks, took the stage and shared his awe-inspiring inspiration drawn from the incredible work of Microsoft and Databricks.

• Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft, spoke about the era of AI and how he was inspired by Databricks. He highlighted the importance of compute storage, network, and memory, which are the themes of Microsoft's approach.
• GitHub Copilot, an AI-powered coding assistant, was mentioned as giving Microsoft a head start. Ali, presumably another speaker, mentioned that all engineers at Microsoft use Copilot.
• The opportunities and challenges in AI were discussed. An analogy was given to help understand these challenges. There are intermediate risks such as bio-terrorism, and it is crucial to ground AI models with regulations and align them with real engineering solutions.
• The question of what happens if we lose control over AI was raised as a scientific problem. Generative AI, which can have hallucinations, was mentioned, and the idea of involving humans in the design loop to ensure safety was highlighted.
