Hi @Clever,
What youโre describing usually points to Genie Code Agent mode no longer being available in that workspace, rather than a problem with your specific chat session.
A common reason is that partner-powered AI features may have been disabled at either the account or workspace level. When that happens, Genie Code can still behave differently by feature, and Agent mode specifically may no longer be available. The requirements and behaviour are documented here in the Use Genie Code guide and the partner-powered AI features documentation.
Another possibility is regional availability. Agent mode depends on supported model availability in the workspaceโs region, so if something changed in the workspaceโs geo configuration or model availability, the Agent option can disappear. If youโre using Azure Databricks, itโs also worth checking the public docs on Use Genie Code and Designated Services/geo availability.
The best next step would be to ask your Databricks workspace or account admin to confirm that partner-powered AI features are still enabled and that the workspace is in a supported region for Agent mode. If those settings already look correct, Iโd recommend opening a support ticket and including a screenshot of the error, plus any available browser HAR capture, since that will help narrow down whether this is a workspace configuration issue or a backend entitlement issue.
If this answer resolves your question, could you mark it as โAccept as Solutionโ? That helps other users quickly find the correct fix.
