I'm looking to build or select a demo in Databricks. Has anyone found any of the particular Databricks demos to deliver a "wow" factor. I am new to Databricks and I'm looking to use one of the staple demos if possible.
All the best,
BS

Yes, in fact the last two sprints I did POCs starting with Databricks' AI demos. First, who is your audience--business users, or other technology people? They'll be wowed by different things.
For my business users, the AI stuff offers a lot of razzle dazzle, but people need to realize you need to build A LOT of foundational stuff before you get there. The demos are good but did not install cleanly on my environment so I had to get into the underlying code and make some fixes, but all the better to learn from.
+1 for AI/BI Genie, this is self-serve BI (I market this internally as "talking to your own personal data analyst on your schedule"). My business users can't wait for us to finish the data foundation later this year. You can find those at https://www.databricks.com/resources/demos/tours/bi/ai-bi-for-end-users and https://www.databricks.com/resources/demos/tours/bi/databricks-aibi-genie.
Another one I learned a lot from is the tools-enabled LLM. There is a tour at https://www.databricks.com/resources/demos/tours/datascience/mosaic-ai-agent-tool-catalog and instructions to install the notebook are https://www.databricks.com/resources/demos/tutorials/data-science-and-ai/llm-tools-functions.
For technology audience, security demos are good, especially row/column level security (https://www.databricks.com/resources/demos/tours/governance-uc/row-and-column-level-security-with-un...) or data lineage/governance (https://www.databricks.com/resources/demos/tours/governance/unity-catalog-and-lineage)
Two notes on the demos: first, don't get suckered into the "free Databricks workspace" if you already have your own workspace, that's just the 14-day free trial. Second, pay attention to editing the config file for the demos so you can install them in the catalogs and schemas you want.

I'm not sure if you find a ready to use demo, but you can try to move one of you existing process to create a PoC.
What is worth to present in Darabricks:
- Databricks Serverless SQL
- Databricks AI/BI genie (chatbot answering question about your data)
- Photon performance
- Databricks Lakeflow integration
- Rag application on Databricks
The content should depend if it's for technical audience or business users.

thanks for the advice @MariuszK. Have you ever used the Demo materials available on Databricks? It seems like you can import all the necessary assets to showcase.
I will try this one https://www.databricks.com/resources/demos/tutorials/lakehouse-platform/c360-platform-reduce-churn?i... and feedback.
All the best,
BS

I'd recommend dbdemos, to get started it's literally opening a notebook and going
%pip install dbdemos
In marketplace there's also solution accelerators, but they tend to showcase more specialist integrations.

Oh this is very cool, what a legend. This video is actually so useful. Just scanned through it. I'll be working my way through that over this week and next.
Have you sat any certifications yet?
