Seeking GitBook Alternatives for Documenting Databricks Pipelines & ML Workflows

Weโ€™re scaling our use of Databricks notebooks and ML pipelines, and keeping everything properly documented is becoming a challenge. Iโ€™ve used GitBook in past projects, but itโ€™s starting to feel a bit clunky, especially when trying to keep markdown docs, code snippets, and API specs in sync with our workspace repos.

For those running sizable Databricks setups, which documentation tools (self-hosted or SaaS) have you found helpful? Ideally looking for:
โ€ข Markdown or notebooks-friendly authoring
โ€ข Version-control / CI-friendly workflow
โ€ข Easy embedding of code samples and REST / Spark API references

Would love to hear whatโ€™s working (or not working) for your teams, thanks in advance.

There are are a bunch of choices for API documentation tools, especially if you are comfortable with markdown or MDX, GitHub, etc.
Some to consider other than GitBook are: Mintlify, Readme, Docusaurus (self-hosted), and Jamdesk.
