Hi @MikeBI, Databricks is a good tool for building an Azure SQL server data warehouse.

Databricks SQL (DBSQL) is a cloud-based SQL analytics platform built on Apache Sparkโ„ข and Delta Lake, providing a highly performant and reliable data processing engine. It allows you to run all your SQL and BI applications at scale and provides an intuitive environment for running ad hoc queries and creating dashboards on data stored in your data lake. Databricks SQL also supports SQL warehouses, which are optimized for SQL analytics.

In comparison to Azure Data Factory, Databricks provides more advanced analytics capabilities.

Azure Data Factory is primarily a cloud-based data integration service that orchestrates and automates the movement and transformation of data. It's excellent for ETL processes but doesn't provide the same SQL analytics and dashboarding capabilities as Databricks. However, both tools can complement each other.

You can use Azure Data Factory for data movement and ETL processes and then use Databricks for advanced analytics, SQL queries, and dashboarding.
