To improve scalability and enable new features, the Databricks classic compute plane will start communicating to the Databricks control plane over 10 new ports: 3306 and 8443-8451. You may need to update your network configurations before we start using these ports on July 22, 2025.
Please ensure that the cloud administrator responsible for managing port configurations in your organization reviews the information below.
Action Required by July 22, 2025
- Compute Plane VPC:
- For existing workspaces: If you have edited your VPC firewall, or you have a workspace in a customer-managed VPC, please ensure your egress rules allow these new ports.
- For new workspaces: Ensure the new ports are allowed in your VPC firewall.
- Private Service Connect (PSC):
- If you are using PSC to connect the Databricks classic compute plane to the Databricks control plane, please reach out to your Databricks account team. They have been made aware of this change and will assist you in opening these ports.
- 3rd party firewall or Egress Proxy:
- If the traffic from your Databricks VPC is egressed through another appliance (e.g. a firewall), please ensure that these ports are also allow-listed in that appliance.
If you have any questions, please reach out to your Databricks account team or contact help@databricks.com
