I've been a SAS programmer for 20+ years with some limited experience in python. I would like to enhance my skill set and become proficient in Apache Spark in order to work with big data in more modern environments. Over the past three months, I've taken the Databricks Apache Spark (E-learning, self learning) courses recommended for Apache Spark certification. In addition, I've experimented with PySpark in the course labs and in the limited Databricks Community Edition. In order to assess my progress, I've taken the Udemy certification practice exams. My average score is about 71 percent on the first 4 out of the 5 exams. While the E-courses have been a good introduction to PySpark, I'm finding that they haven't been thorough enough. I've had to supplement my learning with Youtube videos.
Does anyone have any training recommendations? I would like to keep the costs as low as possible. Perhaps 3 months is not long enough to gauge my knowledge of Apache Spark. I know my limited practical experience with PySpark doesn't help my efforts.
