My team and I are building a Dashboard to present to our client (imbedded within an I-frame). Very recently, the color palette of the visualizations as well as the general theme section seem broken. To be more specific, if I try to update the color of a particular graph, it changes to undefined and defaults to black. This only started happening this week and was working fine previously.
Can we please get clarity on what is happening and resolve this really quickly

Thanks for all the input team. I have escalated this through our data bricks support desk and they were able to resolve this quickly. The issue was resolved on Feb 14th 2026.

Hi @Bahjat ,
Were you able to resolve this? I was facing a similar issue, so just wanted to check if you found any workaround or fix.

Hi @Bahjat, thank you for your question.
I've tried to reproduce the behavior you are seeing by creating a sample dashboard and a test HTML page for embedding it, but with no success.
Please find attached sample images of our try.
Important points to note:
In Databricks dashboards, the Dark theme is the default, but it is not accepted for embedded dashboards. [ref: https://docs.databricks.com/aws/en/dashboards/embedding#-dark-mode-isnt-displaying]
From our documentation, you can find that:
If you have customized your dashboard with a dark mode theme or are working in dark mode in Databricks, the embedded iframe only shows the light mode version of your theme.
Can you create a dashboard with sample data and take screenshots of the issue you are experiencing? It will help us see and understand what is happening.
I would also like to recommend:
1. Databricks Dashboards require the usage of third party cookies. Can you review if you have any of them blocked? [Ref: https://docs.databricks.com/aws/en/dashboards/embedding#the-embedded-iframe-is-blank]
2. Using the Web Browser developer tools, check the network tab for errors or warnings that could be causing the error(I've added a sample view for reference).
3. Try with different web browsers.
Let us know what you see.

Glad to hear it is now fixed, @Bahjat! ๐
If possible, please share what the fix was and mark it as a solution to serve as a knowledge base in case someone else faces the same challenges.
Thanks!
