Translating Embedded Dashboard

Hi, I'm trying to embed a Databricks dashboard, but the language for labels like "Global Filters" always appears as English. Is there a way to make the dashboard display in Japanese when users view it as an iframe?

I've already set the dashboard locale to Japan, and my personal settings are also set to Japan. When I view the dashboard directly in Databricks, the labels are in Japanese, but when it's embedded, the language stays in English.

Hi, unfortunatley as far as I can tell there is no supported way of passing the language of the browser into the iframe for it to know to translate the content inside the iframe. The only workaround is to just change all the labels and titles that you can control in the source dashboard to Japanese. Obviously this doesn't impact the global filters title. If you needed this to be multilingual then you could potentially try to creating a dashboard for each language and then change the embedded url based on the languge setting of the browser. But this would be a large manual effort. If this is a key requirement for you, I'd suggest you contact your account team to raise a feature request.

Thanks,

Emma

Hi @emma_s , thanks for your inputs.
I did change my language setting to have the dashboard reflect the language of the creator when viewed but it still did not work.

Hence, would it be possible to raise this as a feature request?

Could you please direct me to the right place to request this?

Hi, to do a feature request you'd need to speak to a member of your account team. If you're not sure who this is talk to your databricks administrator in your organisation.  Thanks, Emma
