In databricks documentation it says that there's a display name when creating dashboard variables but I'm not seeing it in the dashboard settings. Does anyone know where to find them?

Hi @amekojc,
I see what you mean. The docs indicate per-field display names for dashboard variables, but in the current UI, the field option label is not directly editable. If the field is backed by a metric view, we can set the field's display name there instead. I do agree that the documentation isn't clear. I've raised this internally for clarification. I'll get back to you as soon as I hear from them.

Hi @amekojc
Could you please share the exact steps you are following? I just tried this in my workspace and saw the display name option. I recorded a short video for you to review. Can you confirm if you are following the same steps?

Hi @Ashwin_DSA, thanks for looking into this.
I can see that display name, but I was in fact looking for an option to have a display name for the selected fields. For example, based on your demo to show transaction_date as 'Transaction Date' and transaction_week as 'Transaction Week'. Is this possible?
