How does the refresh work for AI/BI (formerly LakeView Dashboards)

Greetings,

I'm writing this message because I want to understand how does the "automatic refresh" feature work for AI/BI dashboards that use SQL Serverless endpoints?

I'm asking because sometimes the published dashboard refreshes when viewing the link to the dashboard, but sometimes I have to click the refresh button on the published dashboard manually to refresh, and I want to understand how this mechanism works exactly.

These are non-scheduled dashboards, that are published, with underlying data sets that update every day.

I did look around in the community to see if this question has been asked already, but could not find any entry, thanks for directing me to the relevant post if it already exists.

The dashboard will refresh under conditions such as Manual refresh, scheduled refresh or if a parameter in the refresh changes it will hit the refresh option

Thank you for the reply, at some point I have observed that the published dashboard is refreshing when opening, without the user clicking any buttons, I had the impression that it checks unity catalog to see if there were changes or similar, do you happen to know what are the conditions for that to happen?
