Databricks Data Cleanroom

Just needs to understand the data cleanroom. As per the documentation, Databricks Data Cleanroom provides a secure, governed, and privacy-safe environment. Participants can enable fine-grained control access to data with the help of UnityCatalog.

Also, participants can share the data through delta sharing protocol without replicating the data in the vendor platform

But my question is whether Databricks support the security while data is in use(confidential compute) like memory protected by Intel SGX Enclaves or AMD

All of the following are encrypted by default for delta sharing.

  • All traffic between the control plane and compute
  • All traffic between the user and the control plane
  • All storage in the Databricks account
  • All EBS volumes
  • All traffic to AWS APIs

With Compliance Security Profile for Compute in your Network

  • HIPAA
  •    PCI-DSS
  •    FedRAMP Moderate

AND SEVERAL PECB certified.
