@AndreiaC Databricks Apps are currently not supported as an asset type in Databricks Marketplace. While Marketplace supports data assets, tables, views, volumes, notebooks, machine learning models and MCP servers (Preview), Apps operate under a different sharing model. Apps rely directly on Unity Catalog securable permissions (CAN_USE / CAN_MANAGE) constrained within a Databricks account boundary, whereas Marketplace leverages Delta Sharing and Open Sharing protocols for cross-organizational distribution. Because of this architectural boundary, third party providers generally cannot publish native App assets directly to external organizations through a Private Exchange.
If you need to distribute an application to external consumers, you can try sharing the application source code (packaged as files in a Volume or as notebooks) via a standard Marketplace listing. Consumers can then deploy and run the App instance within their compute environment and account.
