Certification: how are points counted?

nwi

Hi everyone,

Before taking the certification exam, I wanted to ask how points are counted. Do you get negative points for incorrect answers? How does it work specifically for questions with more than one correct response?

Thanks for your help and best regards!

Hello @nwi ,

The exam consists of multiple-choice questions, and typically, there are no penalties (negative points) for incorrect answers. In other words, only the questions you answer correctly will count towards your final score.

However, please note the following statement from the Exam Guide, which is worth keeping in mind:

Unscored Content: Exams may include unscored items to gather statistical information for future use. These items are not identified on the form and do not impact your score. Additional time is factored into account for this content.

Certification exams typically don't penalize incorrect answers. For multiple-choice questions, select all correct options to maximize your score. Refer to the specific certification provider's guidelines for accurate scoring details.
