Credentials wallet badge merge

Hi everyone!

I have completed some of the accreditations in 2024 at my former company, like the "Academy Accreditation - Databricks Fundamentals". Since then I have joined another company which also uses Databricks so I started refreshing my knowledge and using their Partner academy access with the company email/account.

I have my personal and both company accounts added to the credentials wallet

and noticed that the "Academy Accreditation - Databricks Fundamentals" was added as a new one and not refreshed as I expected.

Any reason for that? Can they be merged somehow?

Thanks in advance!

Hey @abrett86 !

This happens because the Databricks Academy platform tracks learning progress dynamically based on the specific partner domain instance where the coursework is executed.

When you moved to your new employer and accessed the platform via their Partner Academy portal, the system treated it as a new corporate account profile rather than a renewal path for your 2024 profile. Databricks tracks these metrics separately so your current company gets the active, compliance-related partner tier credit for your accreditation.

Even though you linked both your company emails under your single Accredible Credentials Wallet Dashboard, the individual badge items issued by Databricks will remain as separate records rather than automatically overwriting or consolidating.

And yes, your Accredible badges/certifications can be re-associated to a different company email by submitting a Training Support request.

What to do next

First, gather your credential links. Sign in to your Accredible profile at credentials.databricks.com and copy the URLs for each badge or certification you want transferred.

Use the Training Support contact form and open a ticket

https://help.databricks.com/s/contact-us?ReqType=training

Add the following details to help the agent complete the transfer efficiently:

  • Your old email address and your new company email

  • Your full name exactly as it appears on your credentials

  • Direct links or IDs for each badge/certification from Accredible

  • Whether you still have access to the old email (for verification)

  • An explicit request to transfer your Databricks Academy learning history to the new email and align your Accredible credentials

TL;DR
Databricks treats completions under a new company domain as a separate record so your new employer gets partner credit, which is why it didn't overwrite the old one. To fix this, you can easily have them merged! Just grab the credential links from your wallet and open a request with Databricks Training Support to manually transfer your learning history to your new email.
