Create multiple dashboard subscription with filters

Hi Databricks community,

We developed a dashboard that surfaces up several important KPIs for each project we have.

In the top filter, we select the project name and the time frame and the dashboard will present the relevant KPIs and charts. 

I can easily define the default timeline to be last 7 days, and create a weekly subscription that generates the report on a weekly basis to the mail.

I would like to create a separate subscription for each project and subscribe the project team to their receive their report. I wonder if this is possible, create multiple subscriptions of the same dashboard with a different default value for the project filter.

You can achieve this by setting up different schedules for each project and specifying the default filter values accordingly

Create the Dashboard: Ensure your dashboard is set up with the necessary filters, including the project filter.

Set Default Filter Values: For each project, set the default value for the project filter. This can be done in the filter widget’s configuration settings by selecting a value from the Default value drop-down.

Create Subscriptions:

• Go to the dashboard you want to subscribe to.
• Click on the "Schedules" or "Subscriptions" option.
• Create a new schedule for each project. While creating the schedule, specify the default filter value for the project.
• Add the relevant team members to the subscription list for each project.

Manage Schedules: Each schedule will run independently, applying the specified default filter value and sending the report to the subscribed team members.

I think I'm missing something in your explanation (perhaps because I'm quite new to Databricks).

As far as I know, default filter value can be specified only in draft mode, while a schedule can only be created for a published dashboard. Do I need to do that for each project:

1. Set to draft mode
2. Select default project
3. Publish
4. Set schedule
