databricks cli error : command >> databricks fs ls # getting error Error: accepts 1 arg(s), received

Hi team, 

I installed databricks cli on my mac using homebrew, below is the link

step1:

ran >> databricks configure , configured successfully.

however, when I ran I am getting below error.

 

databricks -v

Databricks CLI v0.212.1

 

command: databricks fs ls      

Error: accepts 1 arg(s), received 0

 

can some one please help me out what could be the error

The result for databricks -v is correct and shows you've installed CLI correctly. the fs ls command need a  DIR_PATH which is a directory of the folder you're trying to get the list of files from.

Thanks for the reply, when I install databricks cli in my windows, it was actually returning some directories even with databricks fs ls.

I installed in windows with pip. You think pip install different t from brew install in mac

I don't think. The format of ls cmd is "databricks fs ls DIR_PATH [flags]". If you try the  databricks fs ls -h, it shows you the info related to fs ls command.
