- Deleted notebooks in Databricks are moved to the user's Trash folder and stored there for 30 days before being permanently deleted.
- To recover a deleted notebook, log into Databricks, go to the Workspace, select Users, then your user folder, and finally, the Trash folder.
- From there, you can drag and drop the notebook you want to restore to your user folder.
To avoid losing notebooks in the future, Databricks recommends regularly backing up your notebooks using options like:
- Git integration with Databricks Repos
- Azure DevOps Services version control
- Bitbucket Cloud and Bitbucket Server version control
