Access free lab in databricks

I am currently attending an AI Engineering course and would like to access the free lab environment for hands‑on practice. Could you please guide me on how to obtain 30 days of free lab access?

Please note that free self-paced courses do not include access to hands-on labs.

To access the notebooks mentioned in the demos, you can choose either of the following options:

• Enroll in an Instructor-Led Training (ILT) course – This provides access to the hands-on labs for seven days.
• Subscribe to Databricks Academy Labs (Databricks Academy → Subscription Plans → Databricks Academy Labs) – This is a great option for long-term learning, as it provides one year of access to both the labs and the self-paced courses included in the subscription.

If the AI Engineering course includes complimentary lab access, I’d first check the course dashboard, welcome email, or enrollment portal for a lab activation link or voucher. Some platforms require you to activate the lab separately using the same account connected to your course enrollment.

If you can’t find an activation option, contacting the course instructor or training-platform support would probably be the best approach. Mention that you’re enrolled in the AI Engineering course and specifically looking for the 30-day free lab access, as they may need to enable it manually or provide a course-specific code.

You can usually get the 30-day lab access through the course portal under the labs/practice section. If it’s not showing up, check the course instructions or contact support—they should be able to activate it for you. Good luck with the hands-on practice!

Can I do an Associate Data Engineer certificate without doing hands on lab?

This is what I am doing and may be an alternative to consider, I created a databricks | Free Edition account, and use the 'Learn' module that contains different courses and interactive demos, which has accessible labs.
