Hi,

My study notebooks that were in the Databricks Community workspace have been deleted.
Are there any birds I can follow to retrieve them?

Hey @silaslnsilva — there was a Community notification noting that Databricks Community Edition would be retired at the end of 2025. Prior to retirement, users were given a quick migrate link to move their assets over to Free Edition.

Unfortunately, at this point there isn’t much you can do on your own to recover those notebooks. There is one small (very small) Hail Mary you could try: send a note to feedback@databricks.com, explain your situation, and see if the support team can assist — though I’ll be honest, the odds are pretty slim.

Hope this helps,

Louis

Hello @silaslnsilva!

If you’ve moved your notebooks to the trash, you can restore them within 30 days before they’re permanently deleted. Here’s how you can do it: https://docs.databricks.com/aws/en/workspace/workspace-objects#restore-an-object.
