DQX Compatibility

d_a_n

Hi all,

Does anyone know if DQX (Databricks Labs) is compatible with Microsoft Fabric Spark notebooks? It would be useful to know this, so that we can use it on Fabric-based projects as well.

Thanks!

Hi @d_a_n,

No, DQX isn’t supported on Microsoft Fabric Spark notebooks. DQX is a Databricks Labs framework that’s designed and documented to run on Databricks workspaces and Databricks clusters only (see the official installation prerequisites).

In addition, the published license and a Databricks Community clarification state that DQX requires a Databricks Platform license for production use and is restricted to environments "in connection with your use of the Databricks Services," which excludes running it on other Spark platforms such as Fabric.

Here is a related post asking a similar question.

Also, refer to the prerequisites here.

If this answer resolves your question, could you mark it as “Accept as Solution”? That helps other users quickly find the correct fix.
