Unable to edit Catalog Owner

  • I created a Catalog and ownership was assigned to me
  • I created databricks account-group on UC, added my user to this account-group, Assigned ownership of the catalog to this account-group.
  • I deleted the account-group

Now, the catalog ownership is showing as unknown, and I am unable to change the ownership to me.

How this can be resolved?

That seems expected since the owner (which was the group) was deleted. You'll need a metastore admin to go in and set ownership again to a user/group.
