Completed Pathway 1 : Associate Data Engineering on Databricks

Finished all 4 modules and now looking forward to receiving the voucher to attempt the Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate exam.

What stood out most was the strong focus on production-level skills — especially DevOps for data engineering. Learning how to build reliable pipelines, manage deployments, and handle real-world failures gave me a perspective beyond just coding.

These skills — pipeline reliability, data quality, orchestration, and observability — are critical and irreplaceable in real-world systems.

One thing I’ve realized while learning data engineering:

AI can help write queries, generate code, and even suggest pipelines — but it can’t replace the core engineering judgment required in production systems.

The real value lies in:
• Data modeling decisions
• Cloud cost optimization
• System design trade-offs
• Production deployment & reliability

These directly impact business outcomes — performance, cost, and data correctness — which require context, experience, and accountability.

That’s why I’m focusing on building strong fundamentals in production-grade data engineering, not just tools.

I have completed the data engineering professional pathway. attached is the screenshot. do I need to complete any steps for the voucher?

Hi there, I already finished some learning pathways (one for DE Associate and one for DE Professional). Recently I had a plan to register Azure DE Associate in 14/04/2026. Would I recieve the voucher sooner, maybe some a few day after concluding event, so I can have a chance to commit sooner for the examination?

Really appreciate if this can be processeed fast. Thank u for response.

I have planned to attend Data engineer asscociate examination.

1)ASSOCIATE DATA ENGINEERING
2)DATA WAREHOUSING PRACTITIONER

hope the voucher will receive before April 10
