Tell me about this ~/.bashrc of the compute: is that a persistent item somehow? do i just edit it within the terminal - and then does it stick around and I'll see it the next time I login as well?
That is a pretty awkward/difficult solution when copy/paste is such a frequently used tool. e.g there is a warning/error message. I'd have to re-run the entire command (piping to output file) to get the text again. Also that does not necessarily ...
