Databricks Runtime JDK 17 upgrade

Hey

I'm using Databricks Runtime 13.2 https://docs.databricks.com/en/release-notes/runtime/13.2.html#system-environment

It uses JDK 8.

Question: Is it possible to upgrade the Java version to JDK 17?

Thanks!

To determine if Databricks Runtime supports JDK 17 or if there have been any updates since my knowledge cutoff date, I recommend checking the official Databricks documentation or contacting their support directly. Keep in mind that software compatibility and supported versions may change over time, so it's always best to refer to the most up-to-date information provided by the software vendor.

Official docs - say nothing about it, but, the oldest Databricks Runtime release, has the ability to use JDK 11 (default JDK 😎 https://docs.databricks.com/en/release-notes/runtime/11.2.html#databricks-runtime-graviton-images-no...

So it seems the newest version of Databricks Runtime probably should have the same ability... , but related to JDK 17

@orlik  @sroeena34 JDK 17 is in public preview for Databricks runtime versions 13.1 and above. Pls refer to this https://docs.databricks.com/en/dev-tools/sdk-java.html#create-a-cluster-that-uses-jdk-17
