Hello, I am seeking assistance with accessing my former Databricks Community Edition account.
During my Master’s studies at the University of Nottingham (2023), I used Databricks Community Edition for coursework. The account was registered using my university email address, which has since been deactivated after graduation.
As part of the Community Edition decommissioning process, the Databricks Support Team previously provided a confidential data-retrieval access link so users could download notebooks and migrate to Free Edition. However, when I attempt to use this link, the login process sends a verification code to my former university email address, which I can no longer access.
As a result, I am currently unable to:
sign in to the Community Edition account
download notebooks for local backup
complete the “Move to Free Edition” migration
I understand that Community Edition systems are being retired and data may be deleted soon, so I would greatly appreciate any guidance on how to regain access. In particular, I would like to know whether it is possible to:
update the verification destination to a new personal email address
use an alternative verification method
temporarily bypass email verification for data retrieval
or follow any other recovery procedure available for this situation
If this issue requires internal assistance, I would be very grateful if a Databricks engineer or moderator could advise on the appropriate next steps.
Thank you very much for your time and support.
