Currently we have azure databricks and gitlab in our project, for integrating with code repository we have only gitlab, integrating with personal access token is possible,
But it flagged out as potential risk of personal access token exposure, wanted to know is there a way to integrate via username & password
Note: I am aware of Azure Repos supported to integrate via AD, but we want gitlab to be authenticaiton via username & password

Thank you folks,
currently only way to integrate with gitlab is only with Personal Access Token,
There is not way to intergrate gitlab via password, as per our security recommendation, we need to have additional mechanism to integrate as exposure of Personal Access Token can lead to user impersonation.
Also our gitlab is accessible over public network which increases the risk impact.

Youll need to use the token when you set up the repo initially in databricks. But if you have something flagged then where are you storing it exactly for this to happen? I geberated a token in gitlab and used it when initially setting up the repo and havent had to worry about it since.
